Food & Drink Side Dish extra: Three food & drink picks for the week

A quick heads-up on some worthwhile food and drink events in the coming days:
First, the Colorado Farm and Art Market will host its 2012 Holiday Market at the Margarita at PineCreek Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If it isn't obvious from the event title, it will offer a great opportunity to buy locally made gifts ? something much more special than the typical big-box fare. And of course holiday-friendly warm drinks and food treats will be available.
Second, Great Storm Brewing will host a special holiday party from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12, featuring live music from Amy Sue Hardy (wife of Indy distributions overlord Tim Lambert) and a prolific release of five new beers.
Starting at 11 a.m. that day, says the brewmaster's wife Lynn Jacobs, the following will be tapped:
Wassail Ale, A Scottish wee heavy, with apples and cinnamon
Working Girl Coffee Stout, A creamy sweet stout with dark roast espresso
John Paul George Stingo, An English old ale, soured and oaked
Wilder Brewing?s Singularity, An offbeat, peppery Belgian amber
Thunderstroke Barleywine, A very, very high gravity English ale aged ten months
And on the following day, Thursday, Dec. 13, at 6:30 p.m., Paravicini's Italian Bistro will host The Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner for $50 a seat.
Of the dinner, owner Franco Pisani says, "As a tradition my family celebrated the feast of the seven fishes on Christmas Eve, also known as The Vigil (La Vigilia). It is believed to have originated in Southern Italy so we decided to share this experience with our guests."
