The Marketing Manager, Commercial Markets is responsible for effective positioning and continuously reinforcing the ESI brand; investigating relevant market trends, understanding preferences and situational demands; and, formulating internal and external messages that will generate new business prospects and sales opportunities and drive business unit revenue growth. This position is responsible for contributing to the creation of and logistically managing outbound communications in the form of industry / segment relevant events, webinars, white papers, and direct marketing programs. The Marketing Manager, Commercial Markets must be skilled at generating positive publicity and influential dialogue consistent with the business unit messages, market needs and corporate core competencies. The Marketing Manager, Commercial Markets contributes to the accumulation of market insight and communicates actionable intelligence to the business unit. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs) throughout the country and curriculum solutions managers to effectively position ESI?s products, services and solutions. This role will participate in, learn, share best practices, acquire technical skills and have the opportunity to collaborate with marketing colleagues throughout the organization, including other business units, as a member of the Corporate Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE).

Skills Conceive, plan and execute B-to-B marketing strategies that result in qualified leads for the sales team Draft and manage plans and budgets for key segment marketing programs. Manage relations with vendors, negotiate purchase agreements and ensure requirements compliance and acceptable services implementation. Code and approve invoices. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and competitive awareness. Serve as the day-to-day interface to internal clients including a sales team. Analyze and report on the results of marketing initiatives and test new ways to improve performance. Create various weekly and on-demand reports for internal stakeholders on campaign performance. Maintain/write/edit several content sections on the company Web site, www.esi-intl.com, using a content management system, Sitecore. Contribute to a variety of brand marketing initiatives, including print and online advertising, case studies, white papers, surveys, awards and more. Provide direct supervision and guidance to staff, including yearly goal setting, performance reviews, ongoing coaching/mentoring, ensuring growth opportunities. Work closely with the marketing team members on the creation and implementation of national and regional multi-media campaigns. Work with the marketing production team to create flyers, brochures, and other sales or internal collateral. Work within marketing automation system, Eloqua, to create and test emails, create forms and manage marketing database groups and filters specific to open enrollment. Set up SalesForce.com campaigns and ensure transfer of marketing leads into SalesForce.com. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify target audiences? needs and to integrate their involvement with marketing campaigns and outbound promotions. Collaborate with other business units to coordinate efforts on select initiatives. Collaborate with global corporate marketing managers to gain best practices and lessons learned as well as share marketing collateral. Provide development and execution of strategic marketing campaigns in direct collaboration with BDMs targets Required Experience B.A. is required; degree in business, marketing, communications, government, or related field is preferred 5 years of B2B or B2G marketing experience, preferably marketing professional services or products, within a corporate or advertising agency setting Specific Knowledge & Skills Demonstrated ability to research, conceive, plan, execute and report on successful multimedia marketing campaigns Analytical skills to provide insight into audiences, budgets and reports Proven success with a variety of marketing media, including email, online advertising, trade shows, events, collateral, direct mail, webinars and public relations Specific experience with online and social media opportunities is also preferred Experience collaborating with global regions or implementing marketing in other counties is preferred Must be comfortable working closely with a local, national and global sales team Experience with Eloqua, SiteCore and/or SaleForce.com is preferred Demonstrated leadership and marketing campaign execution skills Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Limited travel may be required to attend trade shows and events
