When it comes to generate web traffic to a site there is one area that is often overlooked. This area is offline advertising. As the name infers, offline advertising involves promoting a website in venues other than online ones. Granted, while direct email, link building and search engine optimization tactics all have significant value it is never wise to leave any methodology unused. As such, if you have an opportunity to use offline advertising then employ it to generate web traffic!
Basically, offline advertising means placing the URL to your website into the copy of a print or media ad. Whether you are placing an ad in the newspaper, on television or on the radio the ad should contain or mention your website?s address. This is an oversight the entrepreneurial mind should never make! OK, some of you might be saying this is all well and good but you do not have the budget for print or electronic media advertising. If this is the case, then be sure to do the next best thing: include the website address on your business cards, promotional flyers, etc to generate web traffic. Basically, any item used to promote yourself or contains contact information should include your website address. Remember, you will pay the same for that business card or flyer whether or not the website address is included ? so why not include it? This will definitely aid in drawing in traffic, and should never be overlooked to generate web traffic!
