A study of America?s top 100 metropolitan areas found that buying is less expensive than renting in 98 of the areas, the exceptions being?Honolulu and San Francisco.
Another survey found that?almost 70 percent of cities saw rental prices increase in 2011, and?home prices increased in only about 7 percent of cities. The real estate?website Zillow.com found a 3 percent rise in rental prices nationwide.
